Beat Watford 2-0 thanks to two from Mark Harris.
Patterson played the full game as did Halford and Pilkington. Scott Young's son  proved to be a chip off the old block with two yellows in the space of a minute, and although it's not Halloween, the ghost of Fred Gounongbe was seen for the first half.

Poor Fred! Pilks will hopefully, for his own sake, find a new club in Jan

Can't quite get my head around why he isn't involved with the first team. Boggle and Feeney offer us nothing.

It is a bit of a strange one, attitude issues perhaps?

Refresh my memory again, why is Pilks out of favour exactly? Surely he still has plenty to offer us?

His attitude appears to have been spot on. Doesn't look as if he's coasting when I've seen him play and got a hat trick in the last U23 home game before this one.

Pilkington doesn't fit the Warnock mould. Not fast, strong or direct enough to play in the present system. Doesn't make him a bad player.

Just watched the highlights on iFollow. Mark Harris looked sharp but could have had a couple more goals.

Interesting comment from the female commentator as to why Watford's "goal" from the penalty spot was disallowed. The ball came straight back off the post to the penalty taker who put it into the net without anyone else touching it. Apparently the goal was disallowed for offside.

no

rage

Such a basic error.

I do remember hearing a commentator on the City Player once describe an 85th minute goal by the opposition when City were 2-0 up as "nothing more than a consolation". As I bit my nails off, I remember thinking his self-assured optimism was nothing short of moronic.

If it came back off the post to the penalty taker it was rightly disallowed ( but not for offside). However, those of us who were there thought the keeper got a touch onto the post but not having watched iFollow yet I can't confirm that.

It definitely couldn't have been offside against the penalty taker.

Just watched it again and our keeper didn't touch it.  The keeper and two defenders appealed as soon as the penalty taker touched the ball the second time.  There was no objection from the Watford player, although, truth be told, I don't think he really understood the law either.

He may have a future as an iFollow commentator, if he doesn't make the grade as a footballer.

Commentator on the City vs. Wolves game the other night thought Aguero had broke the club's scoring record because he scored in the penalty shootout

Was it TalkShite? They say their audience is going up but I rarely listen to it lately because it's so bad.
