That's my entertainment taken care of for the next four days..... coat

Stuart Manley from up the Valleys posted a really good score this morning, starting before 07h00 in truly awful weather. It's the first time he has qualified for a Major championship.

Unfortunately, the early leaders often drift away over the four days, but Good Luck to him.

Just back from my birthday day out and will watch a few hours before my curry and Prosecco this evening.
Life can be hard sometimes.

Cheers TDA. I was going to have a little snifter on Spieth but I forgot before I went out so odds had dropped by the time I got back home. Still did him and Dustin Johnson.

Not bad shouts, provided the weather stays benign. The course is playing much easier this afternoon and suits the Americans.

"Moving Day" in the Open!

Birkdale playing much easier today.  The Americans hung in there yesterday in the bad weather, but the conditions are really suiting Richie Ramsay, as you would expect of a Scot.  Would love to see him finish well, as another local hero from where we used to live.

It’s sad to think that after all the years of coverage and promoting by the Beeb it’ll probably go the same way as cricket and become a less valued and watched commodity.
First year I haven’t watched any of it.
Ah well, here’s to the mighty dollar.

I hope you're right but Jordan is playing fast and loose with my money at the moment.

It's on ice!

Terrific final 5 holes given how things were slipping away from him, as in the Masters 2016.
