In his time, he was great!

Just checked and he is 41 now - time to hang up the boots and gloves maybe

Could be a semi-useful backup though if no other options prove fruitful?

He could still do a decent job. I'd have to say Shay Given and Brian Murphy as backup to a more recognised number 1 would be pretty good

I felt for Murphy last season... He didn't put a hand wrong during his stint in the first team, in fact he had some fantastic motm performances if I remember right.

Why not give him a chance next season Warnock?

I agree with Rhys about Murphy why not give him a go, He would fill me with a lot confidence than a goalkeeper who's team got relegated

Murphy has been a number two keeper virtually his whole career. If he was an actor, you could say he was type-cast.

Looked very solid whenever he stepped up for us. I'd be happy to let him have the start.

Saw his debut at Brentford and he was solid and more than capable, so a good shout.
