**Official Match Day Thread - Blues v Bluebirds**

on Sat Aug 06, 2016 10:37 pm
This should be a fairly gentle test for our heroes today. Brum are no fools, have a good manager, but are a few players light at present.

We will learn a lot about City's bargain basement firepower today, but if we struggle to create chances in the first place, then this could be the start of a long and frustrating season.

None too hopeful, so 0 - 0 for me.

Richards may well have been bought with the Fabio situation in mind.

According to Radio Wales, our main poundshop striker has already chalked up what could be the miss of the season and wasted one other good chance.

Just heard it described as one yard out in front of an open goal but put over the bar.

Heard it live on the CCP commentary.  The ball bobbled up off his shin, but you might expect a better striker to put it away anyway.

City creating of plenty of chances, but it's evident that we need a sharper striker.

Only seen the (very short) highlights so far, but looked like we could have had a couple of goals on another day.

Gounongbe's (close enough) miss really was a shocker, yet what is it they say about the best strikers getting in the right positions?

Happy enough with that. Need to follow it up with a win next weekend.
