**Official Match Day Thread - City v QPR**

on Sat Apr 16, 2016 6:36 pm
No pressure on QPR, so this could be a very difficult game for City.

1 - 0 to us and another squeaky bum finish.

Sounds pretty dire so far. Wednesday 1 - 0 up, so 7 point difference as it stands.

Needed to win today really. So unless we do what Preston did to us back in 2009, I don't see us catching Wednesday or Derby.

Ironically, on that day we actually lost to Wednesday...

How on earth are we still in with a shot of promotion?

This is a very poor Championship overall. As I have said before, this was the year to get promoted. Not only will there will be three strong clubs coming down with parachute payments, but also at least two of the sides coming up from League One have been flying and won't be the usual cannon fodder.

I usually defend the quality of the league when people say "this is the weakest set of teams ever", but it's hard to disagree on this occasion. It's difficult to pick out any decent sides really - Boro, Burnley and Brighton the best of a bad bunch.
